MPP

The inaugural MPP cohort began in Fall 2022. The Master of Public Policy (MPP) received approval from the UNC Board of Governors in July 2021, the inaugural MPP in the UNC System and the only public university MPP in North Carolina. The Master of Public Policy (MPP) requires 48 credit hours.

UNC Public Policy offers an accelerated dual bachelor’s-graduate degree. Students take graduate MPP courses in the spring semester of their senior year as they complete their undergraduate degree. They receive an MPP in one additional academic year.

“I was drawn to the MPP Program because of the versatility of the degree. The skills I gain from the MPP Program will allow me to thrive in any field of policy I choose to pursue, which I am very excited about.”
