Jeff Summerlin-Long returned to UNC after spending four years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he served as the pre-law advisor and helped develop a new curriculum for a Master’s Degree in Policy Studies.
Broadly speaking, Jeff’s research interests lie in the area of social inequality, particularly inequality in access to the legal system and other political institutions. He has taught a wide variety of courses both at UAH and UNC, including: American Government, Constitutional Law, U.S. Immigration Policy, U.S. Food Policy, Research Design, Statistics, and The Politics of Public Policy.
