Tristan Millsaps

Tristan Millsaps is a first-generation college graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy. Tristan is pursuing an accelerated Master of Public Policy degree with a concentration in Social Policy and Inequality. He will also receive the Carolina Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good. A native of Statesville, North Carolina, Tristan has participated in numerous internship programs, most recently he served as a Program Associate for MDC Rural Forward in Durham, North Carolina. Additionally, Tristan has served as a Summer Consultant for Guidehouse, a Lending Claims Intern for CUNA Mutual Group, and an Ethics and Policy Intern for UNC-Chapel Hill. Upon completing his MPP degree, Tristan plans to pursue law school to better prepare him for a career in Public Policy. Growing up in a rural area, Tristan is passionate about advocacy and strives to use his background and education to create economic opportunities for those in underserved communities or underrepresented groups.
