As a native of Lexington, North Carolina, Nicholas Long initially came to UNC to earn his B.A. in Public Policy and Peace, War, and Defense, with a concentration in International Security and Intelligence. As an MPP candidate, he elected to pursue a concentration in Education and Labor Markets on the Program Evaluation track. Passionate about rural economic development and the intersection of education and rural development strategies, Nicholas hopes to pursue a career in state or local government to develop sustainable rural development initiatives. In his free time, you can find Nicholas catching up on the latest movies or dancing his heart out to his favorite tunes.
