Public Policy in Action

The North Carolina legislature has recently allocated $2.5 million in hopes of enhancing outdoor recreation in the town of Old Fort. This town is significant to public policy students, as it has been the focus of two semesters of public policy senior capstone projects. “I am hopeful that the work we did helped to bring attention to Old Fort’s need for funding,” said Nicholas Long ’23, who called the capstone experience “the most impactful class of my undergraduate career.”
