Juliana Mehrer was a graduate student in the Master of Public Policy program. She graduated from UNC in 2022 with a major in Public Policy and a minor in Social and Economic Justice. She is particularly proud of her work for the North Carolina Prison Education Consortium prior to starting the MPP. She worked to organize educational resources in correctional facilities, creating a database to be used by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Her policy interests involve economic inequality, mass incarceration and criminal justice reform. She is especially interested in increasing access to education for the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated.
