Emily Rippey joined the program in the fall of 2022. Her primary research field is health policy, focusing on social determinants of health and health inequities among historically marginalized communities.
Prior to attending UNC, Emily worked as a government contractor in Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Indiana University, where she received an MPA in Policy Analysis, a BS in Law and Public Policy with honors, and a certificate in Political and Civic Engagement.
