Professor Maryann Feldman Invited to Testify Before Congress

The Subcommittee on Research and Technology in the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology has invited Professor Feldman to testify in a hearing titled “America’s Seed Fund: A Review of SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer)” in order to review the role of the programs in helping to move the results of Federally funded research into commercial development and generating new economic growth, as well as in assisting federal science agencies in meeting their respective missions.

 

Professor Doug MacKay and PhD student Kate Saylor publish “Four Faces of Fair Subject Selection,” in The American Journal of Bioethics.

Through her NSF grant, Professor Davis looked at the effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Matthew in NC and will discuss her findings at the Odum Institute’s speaker series highlighting the interdisciplinary impacts of social science research on September 27 at noon in Toy Lounge (Dey Hall).
