Caitlyn (she/her) pursued a B.A. in Media Journalism and Political Science with a public policy minor from UNC-Chapel Hill. The Mooresville, N.C. native studies inequity within policy and politics and how institutions like the media can better serve underrepresented and underserved communities. During her undergraduate years, Caitlyn served as the Opinion Editor at The Daily Tar Heel and hopes to remain involved with the newspaper throughout her graduate program, where she will focus on how policy can help achieve social and economic justice goals.

In addition to her MPP, Caitlyn is also pursuing the Carolina Graduate Certificate in Innovation for the Public Good
