Joshua Walker is a graduate student in the inaugural Master of Public Policy program at UNC in which he began in Spring 2022. His concentration is in social policy, inequality, and innovation. He also attended UNC for undergrad earning his BA in History with concentration in American History and a minor in Public Policy. His interests of studying social policy and inequality stems from growing aspirations of being an attorney one day with a specialization in civil litigation and social justice reform. Following the MPP, Josh wishes to gain real world experience working in the public sector and government affairs to better prepare him for law school and beyond. He is open to working with nonprofits, consulting firms, and government agencies to help push equitable policy for all. Outside of studying public policy, he enjoys music, soccer, rock climbing and traveling with friends.
