Audrey Pereira

Audrey Pereira is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy. Her work focuses on understanding socio-economic pathways to improve health outcomes and reduce gender inequalities in developing countries.

Prior to entering our doctoral program, Audrey worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, DC, on the Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index, WEAI, and other research related to gender and development.

Audrey also worked at the UNICEF Office of Research, Innocenti, as a member of the Transfer Project team, on food security and violence against women and children, and at the World Bank and Jhpiego, developing cost effectiveness estimates for health and nutrition programs across Africa south of the Sahara and South Asia.

Audrey has a Master of Science in Public Health concentrating on health systems and economics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Bachelors of Arts in Economics and French from the University of California at Davis.
