Hannah McCloskey
Hannah McCloskey is originally from New Bern, NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her B.A. in Public Policy and Medical Anthropology with a minor in Environmental Justice. She is now a graduate student in UNC’s Master of Public Policy program with a concentration in Environment and Human Welfare. Her policy interests lie in the environmental sector and she’s passionate about conserving and restoring natural habitats, pollution control and cleanup, environmental justice, and climate change.
In the Summer of 2024, Hannah worked at the North Carolina Collaboratory as an Environmental Policy Intern. Her primary research focused on federal and state legislation around PFAS in drinking water and the implications that regulation will have on North Carolina water utilities and rural communities.
