Melissa joined UNC Public Policy in the spring of 2022 as the Program Coordinator for the MPP Program. Prior to joining Public Policy, she worked in UNC Academic Advising for 17 years, most recently as a senior academic advisor.  Melissa earned her undergraduate degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication at Carolina and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Strategic Communication at East Carolina University.  A classically trained pianist, Melissa has played professionally throughout her life and plays mostly for enjoyment now.  As a native of Asheville, NC, she enjoys spending time in the mountains with her family, especially along the Tuckasegee River.  Melissa looks forward to utilizing the skills developed through her work in advising to provide holistic support for our MPP students.
