Jasmin Loraine Beñas

As a native of Knightdale, North Carolina, Jasmin Loraine Beñas initially came to UNC to receive her B.A. in Public Policy and Sociology; she completed an honors thesis titled “The Economic Mobility for 2nd Generation Americans”. As an MPP candidate, she is pursuing a field area in Health Policy, Bioethics, and Human Rights on the Program Evaluation track. Due to her experience in advocacy and working with nonprofits, Jasmin has come to view policy and social issues through a racial equity lens. She is deeply passionate about creating a robust culture of health and just immigration policy. Post grad, Jasmin hopes to work with NGOs, nonprofits, and government. In her free time, you can find Jasmin thrifting or creating a new playlist.
