Anna Baechtold is an MPP student with a concentration in the Environment and Human Welfare. Anna is from Asheville, North Carolina and received a BA in both Public Policy and Art History from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2024. During her undergraduate degree Anna worked as an intern for UK Parliament and the UNC Office of Ethics and Policy. She completed a capstone project with Southern Environmental Law Center and a Burch Fellowship research project studying sustainable food systems in both Copenhagen, Denmark and Western North Carolina. Her MPP Summer internship is with Center for Science in the Public Interest studying nutrition policy. Her policy areas of interest are in the environment, food systems, nutrition, and agriculture.
