Yuna Kim (entered 2011) is from Pickering, Ontario, Canada, and received a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (specialization in Social Policy, minor in Economics) from Carleton University in 2008. After a completing a summer internship in the Office of the Premier of Ontario, she returned to school and received her Masters in Public Administration from Queen’s University in 2009.

Her MPA research paper explored the shift in Ontario’s education policy towards progressive discipline and its preliminary impact on secondary schools in the Greater Toronto Area. Yuna then worked in the Ontario Ministry of Energy for two years as a policy advisor. Yuna’s research interests include social and health policy, particularly in the area of substance use, as well as research methods and design.
