Joonho explores the dynamics of entrepreneurial ecosystem as a doctoral student in Public Policy department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His major research interests are the formation and configuration of private startup intermediaries, the influence of various types of policies on entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship competition in national/regional level. He has developed his research topics, based on his work experience at Korean government. As a deputy director who passed 53rd Senior Entrance Examination for Administrative Service, he has worked for the Ministry of Science and ICT since 2012. While taking in charge of entrepreneurship promotion policy, he was able to observe the evolution of startup ecosystem, and that led to his current research interests.

He received B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (2012) and Master of Public Policy (2019) from Seoul National University.
