(entered 2010) Alexandra Graddy-Reed’s research is primarily focused on the private provision of public goods related to philanthropic and nonprofit organizations under the field of public economics and policy.  More broadly, she studies the effectiveness of tax policies aimed at providing public goods.  Her dissertation consists of three papers that identify and empirically evaluate the organizational structures and practices currently in use to privately provide public goods. Alex received the Dissertation Completion Fellowship from the UNC Graduate School and a Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant from the National Science Foundation, Science of Science and Innovation Policy Program, both for the 2014-2015 academic year. She is currently on the job market.
