Kellen is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His primary fields of interest are social policy, subnational politics, inequalities experienced by minority groups (particularly with respect to health), interest groups, and LGBT politics. Currently, he has coauthored work published in The Forum and a book chapter in a new iteration of Interest Group Politics. Before entering the doctoral program in Fall 2018, he earned a Master of Public Administration and a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology, both from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
