(entered 2012) Ludmila Janda grew up in Carrboro, NC and earned her bachelor’s degree at UNC-Chapel Hill. She then taught 10th and 12th grade English in Weldon, NC through Teach for America, and earned her master’s in policy practice from Columbia University School of Social Work. Ludmila is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Education Policy Initiative at Carolina, where she assists with quantitative analysis for North Carolina New Schools and various Race to the Top initiatives, conducts classroom observations, and interviews school personnel. Her research interests include teacher quality, education inequality, and quantitative methods.
