Emeritus Lecturer

Gail Corrado is a Ph.D. graduate of UNC in Public Policy.  She inaugurated the department’s on-campus experiential learning courses including the policy clinic courses and the client-centered capstone course.  She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago as well as Master’s degrees in economics and philosophy from Ohio University and Penn State respectively.  She served as Director of Information Systems Planning at the University of Chicago from 1986 to 1988; Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Computing at Duke from 1990 to 1993; and as Dean for the then new School of Computer Technologies at Wake Technical Community College from 1993 to 1994.  Her current publications focus on extending capability theory to allow it to guide policy generally and educational policy particularly
